Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house having a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family money won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The website NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to research at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All read more students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not here have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
